BJP Govt has finished off 70 percent of Powerlooms and Small Industries in Coimbatore region: DMK Candidate Ganapathy Rajkumar

During a meeting led by Tamil Nadu Minister T.R.B. Raja, DMK Parliamentary candidate Rajkumar remarked, "The BJP has not offered any substantial plans or projects to aid the struggling sectors,", asserting DMK's stronghold in Coimbatore and critiquing the BJP government's negligence.

Coimbatore: In a significant statement at a meeting presided over by Tamil Nadu Minister T.R.B. Raja, DMK Parliamentary candidate Ganapathi Rajkumar shed light on the current dire situation of the industrial sector in the region 'due to BJP's failed policies'. He pointed out that 70% of power looms and small-scale industries have come to a standstill, leading to widespread shutdowns.

This industrial paralysis has sparked concerns among local entrepreneurs and workers alike, searching for viable solutions to resume operations.

Ganapathi Rajkumar emphasized the DMK alliance's anticipated victory in the upcoming elections across 39 constituencies, confidently stating that Coimbatore is not a stronghold of the BJP, regardless of their candidates. He highlighted that the region remains a fortress of the DMK, echoing the sentiments of the Chief Minister who believes in the party's strong presence in Coimbatore.

The candidate criticized the BJP government for their perceived indifference towards the plight of the industrial sector, accusing them of being satisfied with the contributions of major conglomerates like Adani and Ambani, and neglecting the small and medium enterprises that form the backbone of the local economy. "The BJP has not offered any substantial plans or projects to aid the struggling sectors," Rajkumar remarked, underscoring the lack of governmental support for the industries critical to the region's economic health.

Rajkumar's declaration comes at a time when the political landscape is fiercely contested, with the DMK candidate assuring the public of his unwavering presence and commitment to the region's development. He boldly stated that should others win, they would not be as accessible or visible to the people, highlighting the importance of electing representatives who are genuinely invested in the welfare of their constituencies.

The speech concluded with a strong message to the opposition, with Rajkumar expressing his desire for all competing candidates to lose their deposits, signaling a confident push for a decisive victory for the DMK in Coimbatore and beyond.

With the elections drawing near, the focus on local industries and their challenges has become a critical aspect of the campaign narratives, setting the stage for what promises to be a closely watched electoral battle in Tamil Nadu.
