Elephant Attack in Perur: Man Injured After Being Flung by a Wild Elephant

In Perur, Coimbatore, a man was seriously injured after being attacked by a stray wild elephant that wandered into the town. The incident occurred when forest officials attempted to chase the elephant away.



Coimbatore: The peaceful atmosphere of Perur was disrupted recently as a herd of wild elephants set camp in the area. In an alarming incident yesterday (March 17), a solitary elephant strayed into the town from the forest. 

While forest officials attempted to drive the elephant back into the woodland, the situation took a terrifying turn. A man, an onlooker who got too close, was struck and hurled by the elephant. The injured individual is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Coimbatore. 

A video capturing the harrowing event has surfaced on social media platforms, rapidly gaining attention as it goes viral.
