Presuming yet another massive uprising of youth in the VOC Grounds, City Police have beefed-up security at the VOC grounds.
Yesterday, close to hundred youth unprecedentedly staged a protest at Race Course condemning the Central Government for being 'tight-lipped' on farmers' issue, as the farmers' from Tamil Nadu are protesting in the street of New Delhi for the 17th consecutive day. All the protestors were arrested and additional security was deployed in Race Course for a brief time.
For the past couple of days, news on hosting yet another protest in VOC grounds is being circulated in social medias like Facebook and WhatsApp, which has put the police on alert. Reacting to this, security has been tightened to prevent any massive gatherings at the VOC grounds and at all other possible protests sites in the city. All the four entry points to VOC grounds has been sealed off.
