Coimbatore Court Implements QR Sticker System to Prevent Fake Lawyer Entries

To counter unauthorized access, the Coimbatore Bar Association, in collaboration with the city police, introduced QR code stickers for lawyers' vehicles at the Integrated Court Complex, enhancing security and verifying professional identity.

Coimbatore: In a strategic move to enhance security and prevent the entry of fake lawyers, the Coimbatore Bar Association, in collaboration with the Coimbatore City Police, introduced a QR code sticker system for lawyers' vehicles at the Integrated Court Complex on March 14. The initiative was unveiled in the presence of Judge Sasirekha and Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, marking a significant step towards maintaining the integrity of legal proceedings.

The QR code, when scanned, reveals the professional details of the lawyer, ensuring that only authorized legal practitioners can access the court premises with their vehicles. This innovative measure comes in response to complaints from lawyers about the difficulty in parking due to non-lawyers purchasing lawyer stickers from shops and parking their vehicles within the court complex, causing undue congestion and security concerns.

The introduction of the QR code stickers aims to eliminate this issue by ensuring that only vehicles belonging to verified lawyers can park in designated areas, thereby easing parking woes for legal professionals and bolstering security within the court premises.

The initiative was taken after lawyers expressed concerns to the police about the misuse of parking spaces by individuals posing as lawyers. This collaborative effort between the lawyers and the police department has been widely appreciated for its potential to streamline access to the court complex and ensure that parking spaces are reserved exclusively for the legal community.
