Construction of a Rs. 7 lakh rainwater pumping station near the Nesavalar Colony Railway Bridge in Ward 57 of Singanallur constituency, Coimbatore, has begun, funded by the MLA Development Fund and initiated by MLA KR Jayaram on March 8.
Coimbatore: In an effort to address waterlogging issues, the construction of a rainwater pumping station commenced today near the Nesavalar Colony Railway Bridge, located in Ward 57 of the Singanallur constituency. This project, valued at Rs. 7 lakh, aims to improve drainage and prevent flooding in the area, especially during the rainy season.

The initiative is financed through the MLA Development Fund, with KR Jayaram MLA kickstarting the construction work on March 8. The ceremony was attended by key figures including Zone Secretary Sivakumar, Deputy Zone Secretary Singai Vasanthi, Area Party President Prabhakaran, Zone Party Secretaries Sasikumar, Shanawaz, Sivakumar, Bhakrudheen, Balamurugan, Arivazhagan, Kumareshan, Nallathambi, Vijayaraghavan, Karthik, Senthil Murugesh, Ramachandran, Senthilkumar, Praveen, along with party officials and the public, who collectively highlighted the significance of this development in enhancing the local infrastructure and community well-being.
