Dr. Gokul Kiruba Shankar Submits Nomination for Coimbatore Constituency in the Upcoming Parliamentary Elections

Dr. Gokul Kiruba Shankar, aspiring candidate, submits his nomination for the Coimbatore constituency in the forthcoming parliamentary elections, backed by the support of prominent local DMK leaders and party officials.


Coimbatore: Dr. Gokul Kiruba Shankar, a distinguished member of the DMK and current State Medical Wing Joint Secretary, has officially submitted his nomination to contest from the Coimbatore constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The submission event was marked by the presence of significant party officials including the North Coimbatore District Secretary A. Ravi of Thondamuthur, Peelamedu Area-1 Secretary Durai Senthil Selvan, and several Union and City Secretaries, administrators, along with Vadavalli Thangam and Kuppusamy, members of the City District General Committee.

Dr. Gokul Kiruba Shankar has a commendable track record within the DMK, starting his political career as a representative at the circle level and later taking on substantial roles such as the Election Officer for the Thondamuthur constituency in the past legislative assembly elections. His contribution to the party and community extends beyond politics; he has organized numerous medical camps and relief activities during natural calamities and the COVID-19 pandemic. Holding a significant position within the DMK's medical wing since 2006, he has been pivotal in election strategies for both state and central elections. With a tenure as the Deputy Secretary of the State Medical Wing in 2013 and ascending to the Joint Secretary in 2023, his dedication to public service and party activities has been evident.

In charge of key constituencies like Avinashi in the 2019 and 2024 elections and Thondamuthur in 2021, Dr. Shankar's nomination reflects the trust and reliance placed on him by the party and its leadership.
