Power Outage Scheduled in Parts of Coimbatore Ahead of Koniamman Temple Festival

Power supply will be suspended in parts of Coimbatore, including Oppanakara Street and surrounding areas, on February 28, from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, due to the chariot procession of the Koniamman Temple Festival.


Coimbatore: In anticipation of the Koniamman Temple chariot festival scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, the Electricity Board announced a power cut in several parts of the city to ensure the smooth procession of the festival's chariot. The areas affected include Oppanakara Street, Raja Street, Karuppanna Gounder Street, Vysial Street, Kempatty Colony, Uppilipalayam Bypass, Ukkadam Bypass, and several others in the vicinity of the chariot's route. The power supply will be suspended from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM to facilitate necessary adjustments and ensure safety during the festival procession. The Electricity Board requests the understanding and cooperation of the residents in these areas during the specified times.
