Flat owners of 'Vridha' a gated community cum multi-storey apartment complex promoted by Sree Daksha Property staged a sit-in-protest at the Collectorate alleging the promoter on various grounds. They also filed a petition to the District Collector T.N Hariharan on the promoter.
Close to 30 flat owners of 'Vridha' alleged that Daksha has by-passed the rules and regulations of building norms. 'And, now we the buyers are the ultimate sufferers, as officials of various departments levy fine on us' said the infuriated buyers.
They also added that their apartment complex is void of basic infrastructural facilities and that the promoter has been collecting additional fee towards electricity.
'Several times, we have escalated the issue to the promoters (Daksha) but the promoter doesn't seem to co-operate to hold talks. Even, yesterday they failed to attend the meeting' the petitioners said.
The police pacified the petitioners and assured them of action after which they called off their protests.
