Commissioner Orders Swift Completion of New Library in Appanaickenpalayam

The Commissioner of Coimbatore City Corporation, Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS, inspected the construction site of a new library in Appanaickenpalayam, North Zone, Ward No. 01, funded by the MP Development Fund with an estimated cost of Rs. 21 lakhs, and directed officials for its quick completion on February 24, 2024.


Coimbatore: In a significant push towards enhancing educational infrastructure in the North Zone of Coimbatore, Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS, Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Corporation, made an inspection visit today, February 24, 2024, to the construction site of a new library being built in Appanaickenpalayam, Ward No. 01. Funded through the MP Development Fund at an estimated cost of Rs. 21 lakhs, the library is poised to become a vital educational resource for the community.



During his visit, the Commissioner assessed the ongoing work and issued directives to the concerned officials to expedite the completion of the library construction. Accompanying him were Council Member Mrs. Karpagam, Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Sridevi, Assistant Engineer Mr. Ezhil, Regional Sanitary Officer Mr. Radhakrishnan, and Assistant Engineer Mr. Jayinraj.

This library project is part of a broader initiative to promote literacy and provide accessible educational facilities to the residents of Coimbatore. The new library in Appanaickenpalayam is expected to serve as a hub for learning and community engagement, offering a wide range of books and resources to cater to the educational needs of the area.
