Coimbatore City Corporation to Conduct Special Tax Collection Camps

Coimbatore City Corporation announces special camps on February 24 and 25, 2024, for the convenience of the public to pay property tax, vacant land tax, professional tax, and water charges across various ward areas.


Coimbatore, February 24 - In an initiative aimed at facilitating the residents of Coimbatore, the City Corporation Commissioner Mr. Ma. Sivaguru Prabakaran, I.A.S., has announced the organization of special tax collection camps. Scheduled for February 24 and 25, 2024, these camps are designed to ease the process of paying various municipal taxes, including property tax, vacant land tax, professional tax, and water charges.

The special camps will operate from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, catering to different ward areas across the city. This initiative seeks to ensure that all pending taxes for the financial year 2023-24 are cleared before the deadline.

Locations for the special camps include:

- Ward No. 35 in Anbu Nagar 3rd Street, Nagarajan Nagammal Temple premises, and Ward No. 33 in Ilumur Nagar Community Hall on February 25, 2024, only.

- Ward No. 75 in Seeranaickenpalayam Mariamman Temple premises for both days.

- In the Eastern Zone, the camps will be set up in Ward No. 7 and 8 in Nehru Nagar East, Ward No. 24 in Gurunath Nagar, Ward No. 56 in Ondipudur Sungam Ground, and Ward No. 57 in Ondipudur Weaver Colony.

- The Southern Zone will host camps at Ward No. 85 in Konavaikkalpalayam Municipal Middle School and Ward No. 93 in Idaiyar Palayam Church Street Community Hall.

- The Northern Zone includes Ward No. 15 Anganwadi Centre in Subramaniyampalayam, Ward No. 19 in Maniyakarampalayam Amma Canteen, Ward No. 25 in Gandhinagar Government Primary School, and Ward No. 28 in Kamadhenu Nagar Municipal Ward Office.

- Additionally, the Central Zone will see camps in Ward No. 32 at Children's Park Narayanasamy Street and Ward No. 62 at Perumal Kovil Street Municipal Commercial Complex, and Ward No. 80 in Kempatty Colony – Municipal High School.

Beyond these dates, all tax collection centers will operate as usual on all days except government holidays, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM until March 31, 2024. The public is encouraged to utilize this opportunity to settle their dues and contribute to the city's development efforts.
