Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar Inaugurates New 100 kW Transformer in Ukkadam's Super Garden Area

In a significant development for Coimbatore's infrastructure, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar has inaugurated a new 100 kW capacity transformer in Ukkadam's Super Garden area, enhancing the power distribution capabilities of the region.


Coimbatore: In an effort to improve the power distribution network and ensure stable electricity supply in Ukkadam's Super Garden area, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, along with Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan, Council Member Ahmad Kabir, and engineers from the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), inaugurated a new transformer.

This new transformer, valued at Rs. 9.44 lakhs and with a capacity of 100 kW, was officially put into operation on February 14, aiming to bolster the local electricity infrastructure for public benefit. The inauguration saw the presence of TANGEDCO engineers Sivadas, Senram, and Apsal Patha, who played pivotal roles in the project's completion.





In a related development, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar also inspected the Maniyakarampalayam area in Coimbatore's North Zone, Ward No. 19. During her visit, she directed the immediate clearance of accumulated garbage in Ambal Nagar, demonstrating the municipal corporation's commitment to maintaining cleanliness and public health in the city. The actions taken by the Mayor reflect the local government's dedication to improving both the utility services and living conditions for the residents of Coimbatore.
