The Isha Mahashivratri festival, marking its 30th year, will be livestreamed across 36 locations in Tamilnadu, including Puducherry, where Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, along with notable ministers and thousands, will participate.

Coimbatore: The Isha Mahashivratri celebrations, a significant spiritual gathering scheduled for March 8th at the Isha Yoga Center, will reach an extensive audience this year through a live telecast in Puducherry and 35 other locations in Tamilnadu. Puducherry's Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, Minister of Public Works, Lakshmi Narayanan, and Civil Supplies Minister, Sai Saravanakumar, will join thousands in witnessing the festivities.

This announcement was made during a press conference held in Puducherry on February 14th, 2024, by Isha's volunteer, Retd. Captain Pradapan. He highlighted that the 30th anniversary of the Mahashivratri celebrations would be livestreamed from 6 PM on March 8th to 6 AM on March 9th at Kamban Kalaiarangam on Bussy Road, Puducherry, inviting the public to join free of charge.

In addition to the spiritual observance, the event will feature 'Maha Annadanam', a significant offering of food to all attendees, as part of the celebrations. Concurrently, the Adiyogi Ratha Yatra, a prelude to the Mahashivratri festival that commenced on January 5th from Adiyogi in Coimbatore, made its way to Karaikal on February 13th. Conducted by Thenkailaya Bhakti Peravai, the Yatra aims to draw devotees to the festival, visiting Chidambaram, Cuddalore districts, and eventually Puducherry on February 16th and 17th.

The Yatra, receiving a warm reception across Tamil Nadu, allows devotees unable to travel to Coimbatore the opportunity to witness Adiyogi and seek blessings locally.
