Grand Celebrations at Selvapuram Government Girls' Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore

The Selvapuram Government Girls' Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore's 80th Ward hosted a grand trio of festivals today, featuring a Literary Club Finale, Sports Day, and Annual Day celebrations.


Coimbatore: The Selvapuram Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, located in the 80th Ward of Coimbatore Municipality, witnessed a vibrant trio of celebrations today on February 8th. The school premises were abuzz with the Literary Club Finale, Sports Day, and Annual Day festivities, bringing together the students and faculty for a day of joy and accomplishments.

The events were presided over by the school's Principal, Ms. Danalakshmi, who led the proceedings of the day. A wide array of competitions was organized for the students, including speech, storytelling, essay writing, dance, drama, and painting contests, aimed at fostering their talents and skills in various disciplines.

Following the competitions, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honor the winners, celebrating their hard work and achievements. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Ward Councillor and the Chairman of the Coimbatore Municipality Public Health Committee, Mr. Mariselvan, who took part as the guest of honor and distributed prizes to the victorious students.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of an 8th-grade student, Durga, who was awarded the Overall Champion title, showcasing her exceptional talents across various categories.

The grand celebration was a collaborative effort, with teachers, students, and various members of the school community participating enthusiastically. This trio of festivals not only celebrated the students' academic and extracurricular achievements but also emphasized the importance of holistic development in education.
