Former MP K.P. Ramalingam Welcomes New BJP Entrants in Press Meet

In a recent press meet, former MP K.P. Ramalingam expressed enthusiasm over individuals joining BJP from AIADMK, aiming to bolster Annamalai's efforts and leadership in Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: At a press conference, former MP K.P. Ramalingam spoke on the recent influx of members from AIADMK and DMK to BJP, highlighting this as a strategic move to strengthen Annamalai's leadership and the party's position in Tamil Nadu. He warmly welcomed the new members, believing their addition would significantly contribute to BJP's future successes.

Ramalingam mentioned that the arrival of figures such as Challenger Durai from AIADMK and the anticipation of more members breaking barriers to join BJP during J.P. Nadda's Tamil Nadu visit indicates a promising shift towards the party. He emphasized that these moves are part of a broader strategy to ensure BJP's governance in the coming years and to leverage the National Waterways Project as a key advantage for the industrial sector in Coimbatore.

Praising Annamalai's leadership, Ramalingam referred to him as a young commander and lion, confident in his ability to lead the party to greater heights and to combat corruption effectively. This sentiment was echoed by Chinnasamy, a former AIADMK MLA and leader of the Anna Labour Union, who expressed admiration for Annamalai's work.

The press meet also addressed criticisms of ageism within the party, with Ramalingam dismissing such notions by pointing out the active and influential roles played by senior party members in both state and national politics. He argued that experience and wisdom are invaluable assets to the party's growth and governance.
