Coimbatore: In a display of devout faith and tradition, scores of devotees are set to undertake a midnight walk to the Marudamalai Subramaniyaswami Temple in Coimbatore today (January 25), in celebration of the Thaipusam festival. This annual pilgrimage draws participants ranging from young to old, embarking on their spiritual journey from Thudiyalur near Appanaickenpalayam.

The Thaipusam festival, known for its vibrant processions and devout rituals, witnesses devotees walking through the night to reach the hilltop temple by dawn. Along the route, local residents show their support by offering refreshments such as tea, coffee, and biscuits to the pilgrims.
