Fake Doctor Arrested in Coimbatore for Illegally Practicing Medicine

Devaraj, posing as a medical practitioner in Coimbatore, was arrested for providing medical services without qualifications.


Coimbatore: A shocking case emerged in Coimbatore involving a fake doctor, identified as Devaraj, who was arrested for practicing medicine illegally. Devaraj, who only completed his 12th grade, was found to be treating patients without any medical qualifications.

The arrest was made during a surprise raid conducted by a team led by Rajasekaran, the Joint Director of Health Services. They apprehended Devaraj while he was attending to patients.

Initial inquiries revealed that Devaraj had been posing as a doctor and administering treatments without any formal medical training or credentials. The raid and subsequent arrest were part of an ongoing crackdown on quackery in the region.

Devaraj has been taken to the local police station for further investigation. The health department's swift action highlights their commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that medical services are provided by qualified professionals.
