Vehicle Owner Fined for Damaging Road During Water Project in Coimbatore

Coimbatore City Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran imposes a fine of ₹10,000 on a vehicle owner for damaging the tar road while cleaning the vehicle during a water supply project.


Coimbatore: During an inspection of the 24-hour water supply project works in the Aavarampalayam area under North Zone Ward No. 28, City Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran I.A.S., penalized a vehicle owner with a ₹10,000 fine. The fine was levied for damaging the tar road by washing a four-wheeler vehicle on it, which was part of the ongoing infrastructure project on Textile Palasundaram Road.

City Engineer Mr. Murugesan and other municipal officials accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection, ensuring that the regulations for protecting public infrastructure were enforced.
