DMK Agriculture Wing's Pongal Celebration in Coimbatore

Coimbatore DMK Agriculture Wing hosted a Pongal celebration event attended by various party leaders, marking the Tamil New Year and other significant festivals.


Coimbatore: The DMK Agriculture Wing in Coimbatore organized a grand Pongal celebration today, incorporating the spirit of Tamil New Year, Thiruvalluvar Day, and Mattu Pongal. The event was held at the DMK office on Cross Cut Road, North Coimbatore.

The celebration was inaugurated by the Coimbatore City District DMK Secretary Na. Karthik, Ex.MLA. The DMK Agriculture Wing's Coordinator Agribal presided over the event, accompanied by City District Agriculture Wing Leader Manokaran, and Deputy Organizers Vasanthakumar, Riyasudin, and Sathasivam.

The event also saw participation from several key figures, including the Deputy Chairman of the Party's Asset Protection Committee, Pongalur Na. Palanisamy, City District Deputy Secretaries Kottai Abbas, Kalpana Senthil, City District Treasurer SMB. Murugan, Deputy Secretary of the IT Wing A. Tamilmarai, LPF Tamil Selvan, General Committee Member Saraswathi Pushparaj, and other area secretaries like Ganapathi Logu, V.M. Shanmuga Sundaram, Market M. Manokaran.

Numerous other leaders and organizers from various city district wings, including Ra. Thanabal, Na. Babu, Sivaprakash, Sulaiman, A. Kannan, Ila. Devasilan, Thennavan Subramaniam, Rajkumar, Karate Arjunan, C.V. Deepa, C.R. Kanimozhi, West Zone Corporation Chairman Dheivanai Tamilmarai, Corporation Member Kamalavathi Bose, and area secretaries S. Bose, K. Ramanathan, Town Ba. Anand, Pa.Pa. Sivakumar, along with numerous others, were also present.

The event was well-attended by a large number of DMK party workers and supporters, reflecting the strong community engagement and support for the party in the region. The celebration was marked by traditional Pongal festivities, aligning with the party's commitment to cultural values and local traditions.
