Coimbatore Collector informs that ration card holders without tokens can directly collect their Pongal gift packages from fair price shops until January 14.

Coimbatore: Ahead of the Pongal festival, Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has made an important announcement for the district's ration card holders. In line with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's directive, the Tamil Nadu government is distributing Pongal gift packages to family card holders, which include one kilogram of raw rice, sugar, a full sugarcane, and Rs. 1,000 in cash. The distribution of tokens for these gift packages in Coimbatore occurred from January 7 to 9, with the distribution of the actual packages commencing from January 10.
