Commemorative Medical Insurance Camp for Kalaignar Centenary Celebrations in Coimbatore

A special camp was organized in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, marking Kalaignar's centenary celebrations, offering comprehensive medical insurance cards and facilitating small business loans and new women's self-help groups.


Coimbatore: In Kuniyamuthur's 93rd ward, part of the Thondamuthur legislative assembly constituency, a significant event was held today [12/01/2024] at the Periyar Nagar Community Hall. The event was part of the celebrations for the centenary of leader Kalaignar. Organized under the aegis of Pollachi MP K. Shanmugasundaram, North Coimbatore District Party Secretary of Thondamuthur A. Ravi, Area Party Secretary Brother C. Loganathan, Ward Secretary Baba Mani, and Municipal Councillor Ilang Sekaran, the event focused on distributing Chief Minister's comprehensive medical insurance cards worth five lakh rupees to eligible public members. Additionally, the camp facilitated the formation of new women's self-help groups and the submission of loan applications for small and micro businesses. The event saw a large turnout of public members, ward secretaries, and party administrators from the Kuniyamuthur area.



Further emphasizing community development, the camp played a vital role in empowering local residents with essential financial and health support services. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to enhancing public welfare and the legacy of Kalaignar's vision for social upliftment.
