TNAU inks MoU with Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University

The aim of this agreement is to facilitate exchange of scientific information, germplasm, technologies, information and methodology, develop specific cooperative programs and projects in areas of education, research and extension, registration of students for Master’s and Ph.D. programs, etc., between these two universities.


Coimbatore: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh on 04.01.2024 at TNAU, Coimbatore. Dr.Y.S.R.

Horticultural University is committed to develop the need based manpower and technologies to resolve the problems confronting horticulture and enable the horticultural farmers in Andhra Pradesh to make horticulture as the most remunerative enterprise.

The aim of this agreement is to facilitate exchange of scientific information, germplasm, technologies, information and methodology, develop specific cooperative programs and projects in areas of education, research and extension, registration of students for Master’s and Ph.D. programs, etc., between these two universities.

Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has given her moral support for bringing this agreement. Dr. T. Janakiram, Vice Chancellor of Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University pointed out the need of this collaboration and the means of way forward. Dr. R. Thamizh Vendhan, Registrar, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and Dr.B.Srinivasulu, Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University have signed in the agreement and exchanged in the presence of Dr. P. Irene Vethamoni, Dean (Horticulture), Horticultural College and Research Institute, TNAU, Coimbatore who have taken the effort in bringing this aggrement.

Deans and Directors of various directorates of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University also attended the signing ceremony.
