PSG-STEP Recognized as Partner Incubator for iDEX, Hosts Defence Innovation Outreach in Coimbatore

PSG-STEP has been appointed as the Partner Incubator for iDEX by the Defence Innovation Organisation and is hosting an outreach for the DISC X and iDEX Prime challenges in Coimbatore on November 2, 2023.


Coimbatore: In a significant development for the entrepreneurial and defence innovation ecosystem, the PSG Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP) has been honored as the Partner Incubator for the Innovation for Defence Excellence (iDEX), a flagship initiative by the Defence Innovation Organisation.

PSG-STEP will collaborate with the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) Defence Innovation and Atal Incubation Centre to host an extensive outreach program. This initiative is designed to promote the latest iDEX challenges to the local community. Scheduled to take place in Coimbatore, the event will be held from 3 to 5 PM on November 2, 2023, at the "D" Seminar Hall situated within the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.

This year marks the launch of the 10th Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC X), featuring a substantial number of 63 Problem Statements, alongside the introduction of the iDEX Prime (X) with its own set of 13 Problem Statements. These challenges are intended to foster innovation and technological development in the defence sector.

An open invitation has been extended to students, researchers, faculty members, innovators, startups, and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to participate in the outreach program, which aims to facilitate successful engagement in the DISC X Challenge.
