Various development projects including construction of new tar roads, renovation of tar roads, construction of new borewells, construction of new tar roads, construction of new borewells will be taken up at a cost of Rs.10.5 crore under Kalaignar's Urban Road Development Project in various areas including Kamarajar Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Vaniyar Street, Anna Street, Anna Nagar and other areas under Karamadai Municipality.
DMK Deputy General Secretary and Nilgiris MP A Raja was present at the inauguration ceremony and inaugurated the development works.
Former MLA P Arun Kumar, DMK chief executive committee member T R Shanmugasundaram, Karamadai East union secretary Kalyanasundaram, district council president Purushothaman, former district in-charge committee member Manoharan, city secretary Venkatesh, municipal council president Usha Venkatesh and other key functionaries including ward members were present on the occasion.
