Man arrested for selling ganja near Somayanur - One-and-a-half kg ganja seized

The Thadagam police arrested ganja seller Rajaganesh, who was roaming in Somayanur area near Kanuvai, and jailed him and seized 1.5 kg of ganja from him.



Coimbatore: Police have arrested a youth who was involved in the sale of ganja in Somayanur area near Kanuvai.

Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badri Narayanan has taken strict action against drugs and arrested the culprits and put them in jail.

Acting on a tip-off that ganja was being sold in areas under Thadagam police station limits in Coimbatore, Sub-Inspector Arumuga Nainar of Thadagam police station and Kalavars were patrolling in Somayanur area near Kanuvai.

At that time, they caught hold of the young man who was roaming around in a suspicious manner and interrogated him. It was revealed that he was Rajaganesh, a native of Virudhunagar and was staying at Saravanampatti in Coimbatore and selling ganja.

Following this, the police raided his house and seized about 1.5 kg of ganja from there. Following this, thadagam police registered a case against him and produced him in court and lodged him in coimbatore central jail.
