For more than 30 years, a group of people had been living in poramboke land adjacent to the railway track in Anaipalayam area of College Road under Tirupur Corporation.

In this situation, the corporation administration said that the encroached houses in the area should be vacated and those who vacate the houses will be given houses in the Neripperichal area.

More than 10 persons were allotted houses in the Neripperichal area in this regard. In this situation, the corporation officials went to Anaipalayam area today with a pocline machine to demolish the encroached houses.

At that time, the people living there protested against the demolition of the houses. They have not yet been allotted houses in the fire area and if that is the case, where can they go and stay? Moreover, our children are studying in a nearby school here.

Now, if a house is allotted in the Neripperichal area, how can you come to the school from there? So they demanded that we be allotted houses in the same area or the municipal corporation should allow us to stay here till our children's schooling is over.

There was a commotion there for a while. Following this, the corporation officials demolished only the houses vacated by them.
