Bhoomi pooja for works worth Rs 5.45 crore - Mayor Kalpana participated and inaugurated

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Corporation Commissioner Prathap inaugurated the work by performing the bhoomipujan for development projects worth Rs 5.45 crore, including construction of storm water drains and culverts, construction of child development anganwadi centre complex and construction of tar road.



Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana and Corporation Commissioner M Prathap performed the bhoomi pooja for the construction of six Integrated Child Development Anganwadi Centre complexes at a cost of Rs.1.25 crore from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Fund) fund of L&T, MBDA Missile System Limited on Ganapathi Nanjappan Road, Rathinapuri under ward no. 46, Central Zone, at an estimated cost of Rs.1.25 crore.

Mayor Kalpana inaugurated the construction of a 185-metre storm water drain and a culvert at a cost of Rs.10.00 lakhs from the corporation's public fund at M.K.P. Palayam, Maniyakarampalayam under ward no.19 of Coimbatore Corporation North Zone.



Subsequently, Mayor Kalpana and Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap performed the bhoomi pooja for the construction of 6 Integrated Child Development Anganwadi Centre Complex at an estimated cost of Rs.1.25 crore from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Fund) fund of L&T, MBDA Missile System Limited on Ganapathi Nanjappan Road, Rathinapuri under Ward No. 46, Central Zone, and inaugurated the work.



Later, the Mayor inaugurated the renovated school building at Subramaniampalayam in Subramaniampalayam area of North Zone Ward No.15 at an estimated cost of Rs.12 lakhs under The Namakku Naame Project with corporation and 50% appviewx private participation for the use of students.



In addition, construction of 2.8 km of tar road to Lakshmi Nagar (Main Road), Selvanayaki Amman Nagar, Annamalai Nagar, Marutham Nagar and other areas under Ward No.5 of East Zone at an estimated cost of Rs.179.10 lakhs under The State Financial Corporation Scheme.

Construction of retaining compound wall for a distance of about 110 metres at a cost of Rs.21 lakhs at Murugapallam area under Ward No.5.



Mayor Kalpana performed the bhoomi pooja and inaugurated the works under Urban Roads Development Project II at Vinayagapuram, Kamban Road (NSMT) under Ward No.9 at a cost of Rs.98 crore for a total length of 1800 metres at a total cost of Rs.5.45 crore.
