'Start-up festival to be held in Coimbatore on Aug. 19, 20:' District Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati

The event is being held on a large scale under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu Government's Innovation and Innovation Mission for the industrial sector with the theme of 'Great Business Dream' and is expected to help inculcate a positive entrepreneurial thinking among the younger generation and create awareness about entrepreneurship in society.



Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that a start-up festival will be held at the CODISSIA premises in Coimbatore on August 19 and 20.

Addressing the media, the District Collector Kranthi Kumar said,



"The New Industries and Innovation Mission of the Government of Tamil Nadu is functioning with the objective of strengthening the new industrial ecosystem of Tamil Nadu and making Tamil Nadu the topmost state globally in new age entrepreneurship. The Tamil Nadu Start-up Festival will be held on August 19 and 20 at the CODISSIA campus in Coimbatore.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin, Housing Minister Muthusamy, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister T M Anbarasan, Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Minister Dr T R B Raja and other Government officials will attend the meeting."

Speaking to reporters, Sivaraja Ramanathan,



Director, Start-up Tamil Nadu explained about the start-up event saying, "An exhibition with more than 450 stalls will be set up at this grand festival organised by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the industries. The seminar will be held with speeches and discussions of more than 50 personalities. In addition, there will be a variety of events such as investor meet events, launch of innovative products by industrial houses, and entrepreneurs sharing their journey. Forums will also be set up to interact with entrepreneurs – investors, entrepreneurial experts and mentors.

Further, in the Tamil Nadu Innovation and Innovation Mission forum, the entrepreneurs have been provided with the opportunity to know about the various welfare schemes and activities of the Government. For the first time, the Government of Tamil Nadu has launched this event on a large scale for the industrial sector with the theme of 'Great Business Dream' and will help inculcate a positive entrepreneurial thinking among the younger generation and create awareness about entrepreneurship in the society."
