On the occasion of the 3rd Friday of Aadi, arulmigu Paranjothi Mariamman at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore was decorated with currency notes worth Rs 25 lakh.

Special pujas are being performed in all amman temples on the occasion of the 3rd Friday of Aadi. Arulmigu Paranjyothi Mariamman Temple at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore is celebrated every week on Aadi Fridays. Poojas are performed to the Goddess by decorating her with vegetables, fruits and vegetables.



On the 3rd week of Aadi today, they were decorated with brand new currency notes worth Rs 25 lakh – Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 200, Rs 200, Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 20 and Rs 10. They had also hung currency notes in garlands and torans.

Police protection has also been provided at night. A lamp pooja was also performed in which 208 women participated.



The women lit lamps and performed pujas and worshipped.



Vijaya inaugurated the lamp worship.



The lamp pooja was performed by Sivanadiyar Sivathiru Ramu as per the Tamil worship rituals.



33rd ward councillor Krishnan distributed silver plates and kumkum chimil to the women who participated in the lamp pooja.



Following this, annadhanam was distributed to the devotees. Nagaraj, Jagadeesh, Mani, Logu, Balraj and a large number of people participated in the event.
