Apart from the big cities of Tamil Nadu like Coimbatore, Pollachi, Udumalpet, Madurai, Trichy and Chennai, traders from neighbouring states like Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh also come here to buy goats.
Farmers from Mulanur, Vellakoil, Paramathi and surrounding villages bring their goats here for sale. Now that it is the month of Aadi, the price of the goats was slightly lower. This week it was sold at Rs 550 per kg.
