Kamal Haasan to contest Lok Sabha elections - MNM vice-president Thangavelu

On behalf of The Makkal Needhi Maiam, they have organized an event called "Makkalodu Maiam". In this, the party will directly go door-to-door to meet the people and understand the basic grievances and needs and make a promise. It will be held across Tamil Nadu.


With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, all the parties are busy working on it. Suggestions on an alliance are also being discussed within the parties.

In this situation, on behalf of The Makkal Needhi Maiam, they have organized an event called "Makkalodu Maiam". In this, the party will directly go door-to-door to meet the people and understand the basic grievances and needs and make a promise. It will be held across Tamil Nadu.



Accordingly, the 'Makkal Needhi Maiam' in Coimbatore district has started the 'Makkalodu Maiam' event from today.



The first opening ceremony began in coimbatore south constituency, where party chief Kamal Haasan contested.



The first day of the event was held at Puliyakulam Periyar Nagar.



The meeting was attended by the party's state vice-president Thangavelu, propaganda secretary Arjun and a large number of office-bearers. They met the people of the area directly and listened to their grievances and needs.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Thangavelu, vice-president of Makkal Needhi Maiam, said, he said that the 'Makkalodu Maiam' event will be held across Tamil Nadu. The leader of the party is definitely contesting the MP election, be it Coimbatore or other places. There are chances of him standing here if he wants to, he said. He also said that basic grievances of the public are submitted to the District Collector every week in the form of petitions.
