'Rejuvenating Coimbatore Railway Junction: An Appreciation of Railway's Steps towards Passenger Comfort'

The Coimbatore Railway Junction is set to undergo a much-needed redevelopment, thanks to the initiative taken by the Indian Railways. This redevelopment is going to provide passengers with a wide array of amenities and services while making the station more accessible and efficient.

Coimbatore: We appreciate Railways' steps to reconstruct the Coimbatore railway junction with all amenities for passengers inside the station.

Today lack of Railway track infrastructure at Coimbatore Junction is cited as a major reason for denying the restoration of trains and Starting new train services.

We request Salem division to kindly look into resolving these important issues, which will help in commencing train service from Coimbatore to various cities.

1. Remodeling the yard at Coimbatore Junction.

2. Better Signalling facilities to reduce time.

3. Increasing the number of platforms from six to eight, with a full train capacity of 24 coaches.

4. Making greater use of Coimbatore North and Podanur for starting and terminating trains in Coimbatore, as well as building Pit lines and stabling lines for maintenance and parking the rakes.

Only then more people will be able to access and benefit from both the facilities, one created inside the Railway Station and the other using the train services.
