Coimbatore Government Hospital's Money-Driven Tragedy: An Elderly Man's Painful Plea

Rajesh Kumar was admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital. He had been undergoing dialysis (blood purification) treatment twice, but his condition worsened due to a kidney problem. He started bleeding while urinating and was then followed by a series of shortness of breath for 12 hours. His father had repeatedly complained to the doctors, but none of the doctors came to check on Rajesh Kumar's health condition.



Tirupur: Nagaraj is from Vadadarai in Dharapuram, Tirupur district. His son Rajesh Kumar is 38 years old. Ramathal, Rajesh Kumar's wife, is 33. Kausika Sri is their ten-year-old daughter.

Rajesh Kumar had been suffering from kidney difficulties for the past 15 days. On the advice of Dharapuram government hospital physicians, he was admitted to Coimbatore government hospital. He was undergoing dialysis (blood purification) treatment twice .

Today, due to a kidney problem, he was bleeding while urinating. This has been followed by a series of shortness of breath. Rajesh Kumar has been admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital.

He'd been struggling with shortness of breath for 12 hours. Rajesh Kumar's father had repeatedly complained to the doctors, but none of the doctors came to check on rajesh kumar's health condition.



Rajesh Kumar was taken to the dialysis room after 12 hours.



He died while undergoing dialysis treatment there.



Doctors and nurses at Coimbatore Government Hospital failed to treat Rajesh Kumar on time, Rajesh Kumar's father Nagaraj says with tears in his eyes that he died after 12 hours of being treated.

Nagaraj, father of the deceased Rajesh Kumar, said



He said that none of the doctors at the Coimbatore government hospital were working properly. The doctors that come in for night duty are lying in their rooms, resting and completing medical work in the morning.

Furthermore, the nurses at the government hospital are playing with patients and dead bodies. And they are only doing things like watching videos on their mobile phones.

He also claimed that he would take all kinds of life-saving money such as medicine tablet injections and scans at a government hospital and give medicines.

The government hospital staff are accused of accepting bribes from patients. There is also no water for hospital patients to drink. It is not possible to use toilets.At the same time, Water does not come to the toilet and is meant to be transported to patients who cannot afford it.

The structurer and the tram have been damaged. None of the staff come to take the patients to the doctor on the broken structure to show them to the doctor So there is a situation where the patients are pushing the structure away by the people who are with them.

The staff working there will charge between Rs 50 and Rs 100 for using the structurer while pushing. He charges Rs 1,500 each patient when he goes for a scan. Furthermore, doctors' prescriptions are not available in government hospitals. Rajesh Kumar's father said that doctors forced him to go to private dispensaries near the hospital and buy medicines for a fee.

Furthermore, Vanathi Srinivasan, the MLA from the assembly constituency, does not come to the hospital for inspection. Similarly, the mayor, health ministers, and health secretary are not coming Coimbatore Government Hospital to inspect it.

His father, Nagaraj, stated that his son Rajesh Kumar died owing to a lack of treatment. Rajesh Kumar's death has prompted widespread mourning in the Dharapuram area of Vadatharai.
