On Adi Amavasai, more than 1,000 farmers gathered at the Amanalingeswarar temple at Thirumoorthymalai near Udumalpet in Tirupur district. The farmers, coming from Udumalai, Pollachi, Dharapuram, Kinathukadavu, Dindigul and surrounding villages arrived in bullock carts to give tithi to their ancestors. The farmers made special prayers during this auspicious occasion.
Tirupur: On the occasion of Adi Ammavasai, about 1,000 farmers rushed to the Amanalingeswarar temple in Thirumoorthymalai near Udumalpet in Tirupur district.
Furthermore, the public gave tithi to the ancestors.
Meanwhile, over 500 farmers from Udumalai, Pollachi, Dharapuram, Kinathukadavu, Dindigul, and nearby villages paid extra attention to their bullock carts and gave special prayers.
According to the forefathers' advice, if they have darshan at the Amanalingeswarar temple in Thirumoorthy Malai on adi amavasai day with double bullock carts, their animals will be free of diseases and healthy for a long time.
"We have been coming for many years on the advice of our forefathers that kangeyam breed will increase the growth of indigenous cows. As a result, the cattle continue to be healthy without any disease, the farmers said.
