AIADMK protests to press for various demands of construction and unorganised workers

The AIADMK's unorganised union staged a protest in front of the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Labour in Ramanathapuram area to press for the various demands of the construction and unorganised workers. The protest was led by MLA Amman Arjunan and it was organised to draw attention to the needs of the people working in the unorganised sector.


Coimbatore: The AIADMK's unorganised union conducted a rally to lobby for the varied demands of construction and unorganised workers. MLA Amman Arjunan led a protest in front of the Assistant Commissioner of Labour's office in Ramanathapuram.



They demanded the payment of construction workers monthly pensions. Slogans were also raised demanding that unorganised workers be paid a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000.

Construction workers, AIADMK functionaries and Singanallur MLA K R Jayaraman were among those who participated in the protest.
