Policeman and Siddha Medical Practitioner died in Two-Wheeler Accident After Being Crushed by Truck's Wheel'

Tragedy struck in the Neelambur area near Sulur as two persons, a constable from Pochampalli and a Siddha doctor from Periyakulam in Theni district, riding a two-wheeler skidded off the road and were crushed to death by a truck coming from behind that got stuck in the wheel.

Kanmani Priya (33), a government Siddha doctor from Theni's Periyakulam. She had travelled from Theni to the home of his relative Pachiammal, who lives in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Neelambur.

Later, Kanmani priya said that she was going to take training on Varmakalai. For this, Pachiyammal's husband took her up to Gandhipuram and left it. Kanmani Priya, a siddha doctor, called Pachiyammal at 5.30 p.m. to say she was returning after completing her training.



While Kanmani priya was on her way to Pachiyammal home, she was bringing her friend Raja, a policeman from Pochampalli, on Neelambur Avinashi Road, sitting in the back of the two-wheeler when the two-wheeler skidded off the road and the two fell down.



At that point, a truck approaching from behind climbed on them by accident.



They were crushed to death on the spot because they were trapped in the wheel.

Sulur police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of Kanmani Priya and Raja and sent them to coimbatore government hospital for post-mortem. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

The body of a Siddha doctor who had come to Coimbatore from Theni district for training and the policeman accompanying him were crushed to death, causing great grief in the area.
