Youth Killed in Tragic Head-On Collision on L and T Highway in Madukkarai

Tragedy struck on the L and T highway in Madukkarai when two cars collided head-on, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old youth, Naveen Kumar. Kumar, a resident of Bengaluru in Karnataka, had gone to Kerala with four of his friends for a picnic two days ago. He was travelling back to Bangalore via Coimbatore on Sunday night when the accident occurred.


Coimbatore: A youth was killed in an accident in which two cars collided head-on on the L&T highway in Madukkarai in Coimbatore.

Naveen Kumar (35), a native of Bengaluru in Karnataka, is employed in a private enterprise. He had gone to Kerala in a car via Coimbatore with four of his friends for a picnic two days ago. He then came back on Sunday night to go back to Bangalore via Coimbatore.



When Navin Kumar's car reached the Jallikattu ground L&T highway in Madukkarai, it lost control and collided with another car driving towards Kerala. Five persons, including Naveen Kumar, were seriously injured in the incident.

They were rescued by the locals and sent to a private hospital and coimbatore government hospital by ambulance. Naveen Kumar, who was admitted to the intensive care unit, succumbed to his injuries. The West Traffic Crime Branch police are investigating the accident.
