The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation monitors dengue fever and other diseases constantly

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation is taking a proactive approach to ensuring public health through the constant monitoring of dengue fever, flu cases, and other seasonal infections. To prevent the spread of disease, the municipal corporation has implemented a comprehensive health prosecution plan, which includes cleaning and flushing out stagnant water, mosquito fogging in all wards, and clearance of trash bins.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation is constantly monitoring dengue fever, flu, and other seasonal diseases of all types. The main goal of this health prosecution is to clean and flush away stagnant water, to fog all wards with mosquito repellent, and to clearance of trash bins.



The CCMC has been closely monitoring all sectors of health and hygiene on the directions of the State Health Minister.



In addition, special dengue fever camps are frequently arranged in identified areas. According to sources it was reported that active dengue cases are reported in the areas of Anna Nagar and Jeeva Nagar of Ward 58.



In this concern workers of the CCMC along with an inspecting officer on Wednesday rigorously inspected the respective areas. Penalties and warnings have been issued to houses with unhygienic surroundings. Also, guidelines were provided for individual houses.

It was also noted that there's a drastic increase in the number of fever cases for which the district health administration is taking actions to reduce and prevent the further spread of any infection.
