Kamal Haasan donates car to Coimbatore's first woman private bus driver

Sharmila, Coimbatore's first private bus driver, was just fired. Makkal Neethi Maiam leader and actor Kamal Haasan personally invited Sharmila and presented her with a new car on behalf of the Kamal Cultural Centre.



Coimbatore: Actor and Makkal Neethi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan has gifted a new car to Sharmila, the first woman private bus driver in Coimbatore.

Sharmila is so well-liked in Coimbatore that she claims no one is astonished by her daring as the city's first female private bus driver. She worked as a private bus driver and the passengers travelling in her vehicle became her fans and used to take selfies.

Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South, recently travelled on her bus. Sharmila was complimented for being proud to be travelling in a bus driven by a woman.

Similarly deputy general secretary DMK. MP Kanimozhi also recently rode in her bus, praised her, and presented her with a watch.

In this case, it became the talk of the town on social media and the media that the private bus company where she was working had sacked her. Various information in this regard was circulating on social media.
