Corporation Commissioner inspects various ongoing works in Coimbatore

Corporation Commissioner Prathap, reviewed the ongoing cleanliness works, storm water drain desilting works, and tarpaulin road works in Coimbatore South and Central zones, directed the officials to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively.



Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected various works being carried out in Coimbatore's central and southern zones.



Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the work of segregating and collecting biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste by the corporation's sanitation workers in Podanur and Sai Nagar areas under ward number 95 of Coimbatore Corporation South Zone.

Later, he instructed sanitation workers to create awareness among the public in the area to classify the garbage as biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.



Following that, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the Podanur and Sai Nagar areas under south zone ward number 95.

At that time, after instructing the concerned engineer to prepare a project estimate for the construction of a new storm water drain in the area, the corporation commissioner personally inspected the ongoing work of storm water drains at chatram road in podanur under ward no 95.



Later, he inspected the vaccines given to pregnant mothers, mothers and children at the Urban Primary Health Centre at Chatram Road, Podanur, under ward no. 95, South Zone, and the treatment methods being given to both internal and external patients.

Later, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner personally inspected the operation centre, the stock and records of the medicine tablets and inquired about the treatment modalities of the patients.



Following this, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prathap personally visited and inspected the construction of a compound wall in the urban Primary Health Centre premises in the N.P. Itheri area at an estimated cost of Rs.21 lakh.



The Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation personally visited and inspected the ongoing work of tar road construction on SNV Garden Main Road, Nanjundapuram under Ward No.62, Central Zone, Coimbatore Corporation at a cost of Rs.166.59 lakh under Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Roads Development Project.



Following that, the Corporation Commissioner personally visited the construction site of 377.70 metres of tarred road under The Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Roads Development Project on Netaji Nagar Main Road in Ward No. 62, Central Zone.

Later, he personally inspected and examined ongoing tar road works in the Ananya Apartments area of Ward 65 under the Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Roads Development Project. The corporation commissioner directed that road works in areas where contract work has been finished and tar road work has begun be completed swiftly and qualitatively and made available to the public.



Subsequently, construction of public toilet at a cost of Rs.40 lakhs under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) scheme at Karupparayan Kovil Road, Ammankulam under Coimbatore Corporation, Central Zone, Ward No. 66, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the construction of public toilet at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar under ward number 66 at an estimated cost of Rs 26 lakh under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
