International Day of Yoga: CRPF Soldiers Practice Yoga at Adiyogi, Isha Yoga Center

On the International Day of Yoga, hundreds of CRPF soldiers participated in a special yoga session in front of Adiyogi, the world's largest bust sculpture. Recognized by Guinness World Records, the face of Adiyogi stands 112 feet tall and is symbolic of the 112 ways to achieve wellbeing and ultimate nature through yogic sciences.



Coimbatore: To commemorate the International Day of Yoga, hundreds of CRPF soldiers took part in a yoga session held exclusively for them in front of Adiyogi at the Isha Yoga Centre.

Recognized as the world's largest bust sculpture by the Guinness World Records, the face of Adiyogi is 112 feet high. It depicts the 112 ways offered to achieve wellbeing and one's Ultimate nature through the yogic sciences.



The Isha Foundation additionally conducted free yoga sessions at the Coimbatore Airport and Sulur Air Force Base. Thousands of individuals attended the workshops and benefited from them.

Senthil Valavan, Director of Coimbatore Airport, participated as the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the programme at the airport.. Following this, yoga sessions were offered to passengers from 7 AM to 6 PM which saw wide participation. Similarly, yoga was taught to Defense Force personnel at INS Agrani, Air Force College and Special Action Force Complex at Vellalore.



Apart from this, yoga was taught to thousands of students free of cost in various colleges including Karpagam College, Hindustan Arts College, and SNS Engineering College.

Participants learned basic yet effective practices including Yoga Namaskar and Nadi Shuddhi, which have been proven to relieve stress and promote physical and mental well-being.
