Migrants steals in Nedunchalai movie-style

A CCTV footage of thieves stealing the belongings of a Coimbatore-based man who was travelling in a tourist bus on the Odisha state highway has gone viral on social media.

Coimbatore: A CCTV footage of thieves from the northern states stealing belongings in the style of a highway picture from a tourist bus in Coimbatore has gone viral on social media.

More than 50 people from Vakarayampalayam Pudur and Chandrapuram areas near Karumathampatti in Coimbatore went on an 18-day spiritual journey to the northern states on October 28.

They travelled in a private tourist bus to spiritual sites including Kashi and Saibaba temple and travelled from Orissa to temples in Gujarat on the night of May 7. All of them were on their way by bus after dinner when they arrived at the hotel in Gujarat at around 4 am.

When the driver and assistant got on top of the bus and checked the belongings, it was found that the belongings were missing.

On examining the CCTV camera installed at the rear of the bus, it was found that around 2 am, when the bus was passing on the national highway, one of the three men on a two-wheeler came behind the bus and jumped into the moving bus and threw down the belongings kept on the top of the bus.

There were also scenes of him switching from a moving bus to a two-wheeler. Like the scenes in Aari's 'Highway', robbers from the northern states have robbed a tourist bus from Coimbatore.
