The Coimbatore district prohibition enforcement wing has said that if there is a sale of illicit liquor and ganja in and around Coimbatore, a complaint can be lodged on the WhatsApp number 7604910581.


Coimbatore: A complaint about the sale of illicit liquor and ganja in Periyanaickenpalayam can be lodged on WhatsApp.

The Coimbatore District Prohibition Enforcement Wing (ED) stated in a statement that the public can inform the Prohibition Enforcement Wing via WhatsApp at 7604910581 about offences such as smuggling and selling of illicit liquor,

sale of ganja and banned drugs, manufacture of spurious liquor and so on in areas under the jurisdiction of the Coimbatore District Police Station limits.

The names of the complainants will be kept confidential.

"We have launched a mobile number 76049 10581 for the public to immediately inform the prohibition police about incidents of sale and smuggling of illicit liquor, ganja and drugs," said Deputy

Superintendent of Police (Prohibition) Janani Priya.

This number can also be communicated via WhatsApp and SMS. Will be considered as a particularly important part. Posters are being put up at Sulur Karumathampatti, Annur, Thudiyalur Thadagam, Karamadai Mettupalayam, Vadavalli, Alandurai, Pollachi, Anaimalai and other areas.

The mobile phone number will keep confidential the names and details of those informing about the sale of drugs like illicit liquor and ganja. That has been reported.
