The Indian Navy's aviation unit along with the Codissia Defence Innovation and Incubation Centre in Coimbatore hosted an interactive session with the industry bodies. It was attended by more than 150 industry representatives and naval officers.
Coimbatore: The Naval Air Wing of the Indian Navy, in collaboration with the Codissia Defence Innovation and Incubation Centre (CDIIC), Coimbatore on 11th May 2023, organized an interactive programme of industry bodies.
Under the "Atma Nirbhar Bharat" initiative, it aims to accelerate indigenous production of aviation equipment.

The occasion was presided over by Rear Admiral Deepak Bansal, Vice Chief of Naval Staff, and was presided over by Ramamurthy, Director, Codissia Defence Innovation and 'Incubation' Centre.
More than 150 industry representatives and naval officers attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Rear Admiral Deepak Bansal highlighted the unavoidable requirements in naval aviation, especially in the areas of repair of aircraft spare parts and supply of spare parts.

Speaking on the occasion, Director CDIIC showcased the capability of the defence sector of coimbatore industry.
There was also an exclusive session of the certification regarding the manufacture and repair of aircraft spare parts and spare parts.
As part of that discussion event, models of aircraft parts for indigenization and repair were displayed.
The local industry was also recognised for its contributions to the successful repair of naval aviation components.
