Allocate funds for transport employees in the budget..! - Government Transport Employees' Federation resolution in Tirupur

The District General Council meeting of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Employees Federation held at Tirupur passed a resolution demanding that steps be taken to allocate funds for the salaries, retirement benefits and dearness allowance of the employees of the State Transport Corporations in the budget and disburse them annually.



Tirupur: The State Transport Corporation Employees Federation district general body meeting passed a resolution to allocate funds in the budget for monetary benefits, including salaries of the state transport employees.



Tirupur District Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Employees Federation and Retired Employees Federation district general committee meeting was held at a private hotel on Palladam Road in Tirupur.



Gunasekaran, state treasurer of the Transport Corporation Employees Federation, told reporters after the meeting the eighth pay commission was constituted and implemented due to differences between the trade unions to get pension, dearness allowance and retirement benefits for transport workers.

But for the last eight years, the monetary benefits of the workers have not yet been disbursed and the time has been reduced.

The resolutions were passed including that the Government of Tamil Nadu should fulfil the election promises made by the Government of Tamil Nadu and to allocate funds for pension, retirement benefits, etc., to the employees of the State Transport Corporations, like the employees of the Electricity Board, in the budget every year and distribute it to the workers annually.
