CCMC Commissioner conducts surprise inspection in Coimbatore East and Central Zones

Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap inspected the ongoing road works and construction works in the East Zone of Coimbatore Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs.2.15 crore. He directed the engineers concerned to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively and put them to public use.



Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner, M Prathap reviewed the ongoing works in the Eastern and Central zones of the Corporation on Thursday.



CCMC Commissioner arrived at Coimbatore's East Zone and inspected the construction of 1.96 km of roads in Ondipudur, Sakthi Nagar and Kumudham Nagar areas at an estimated cost of Rs.1.88 crore under the Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Roads Development Project (TURIP 2022-2023) in the areas falling under Ward no. 22 and 56.

The CCMC Commissioner also construction of road for a distance of 200 metres at an estimated cost of Rs. 29.10 lakhs in the area falling under Ward no.56, 106 metres in TNHD colony and 166 metres in TNHD Colony 2nd Street, at a total cost of Rs. 27 lakhs for a total length of 272 metres.



He personally inspected the construction work of the Health Inspector's office at Vilankurichi area under Ward No. 9 at an estimated cost of Rs. 56 lakh.

He directed the concerned engineers to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively, and bring them to public use.



Following this, the Corporation Commissioner visited the Urban Primary Health Centre in Singanallur area under Ward No. 61 and inspected the vaccinations given to pregnant mothers, mothers and children, and reviewed the treatment methods being provided to in-patients and outpatients, inspected the operation centre, and the availability of medicine tablets and records.

Subsequently, after enquiring about the treatment methods from the patients, M Prathap instructed the doctors to talk kindly to the patients entering the Government hospitals and provide quality treatment.



He also visited the additional hospital building which is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 68.50 lakh at the hospital and ordered that the work be completed at the earliest and put to public use.



Later, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Corporation Science Park at Tatabad area under Ward No.68 of Coimbatore Central Zone. He ordered that the works be completed as soon as possible and put to use too.
