Competing Air Horns at Coimbatore Government Hospital Bus Stand: Public's Alarm for Patients' Health

The public claims that the patients are suffering since all of the buses at the bus stand opposite to the Coimbatore Government Hospital compete with each other and play the air horn when they arrive and depart.

Coimbatore: It has been alleged that patients are being affected by buses that let the air horn sound near the Government Hospital in Coimbatore.

The government hospital is located opposite the Coimbatore government bus stand. This hospital serves patients from all over the state, not just Coimbatore.

Every day, nearly 5,000 people arrive at the government hospital and leave after receiving treatment.

At the bus stand opposite the government hospital, private buses and government buses are competing and letting the air horns ring.

The bus stop has a limited area. Only if one bus departs may the next bus depart from behind.

It is a common practice there to overtake each other due to time constraints. This shows that the sound of the air horn is ringing at any time in the place.

This noise could make patients anxious and stressed. Patients claim that the air horn they beat up can be heard all the way up to the maternity ward. Doctors frequently advise you not to speak loudly to the patient who is receiving treatment.

However, the sounds of the air horns cause the patients' hearts to tremble. It is only better if the drivers understand this and act accordingly.

Social activists said the regional transport department has advised people not to hit the air horn within the urban areas in general. However, despite that, a few drivers are acting like this.

Drivers who violate this rule should face severe penalties. This should be monitored on a daily basis by the regional transport department and the traffic police.

If you do so, you can make a peaceful journey within the urban limits.
