Speaking after a meeting with the Regional In-charges of Coimbatore and Salem on MNM's participation in the Coimbatore elections, at Chinniampalayam on Coimbatore-Avinashi road, Kamal Haasan said that a decision on contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Coimbatore will be taken soon.
Coimbatore: Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) President, Kamal Haasan has said that a decision on contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Coimbatore will be taken soon.
A meeting was held at the Brindavan Marriage Hall in Chinniyampalayam area on Coimbatore-Avinashi Road under the chairmanship of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) President, Kamal Haasan with the Regional In-charges of Coimbatore and Salem.
According to sources, the meeting discussed the preparatory work related to the Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Haasan said, "We have convened a meeting here to take a decision on contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Coimbatore and a decision has not been taken yet. A decision will be taken soon and also about going to Bengaluru for campaigning which will be announced tomorrow.
It is a meeting we are talking about, and what we have talked about is a secret." Responding to a query on whethere there was a plan to get what was missing in the Assembly, in Parliament, Haasan replied, "Maybe it is a good idea."
