Handle beer bottles carefully - Tasmac employees union urge after bottle blows up in customer’s face

Senthil Kumar, an employee of a TASMAC shop in Karamadai area of Coimbatore, suffered an eye injury and lost his eyesight after a mini blow up of a beer bottle. Following this, the CITU TASMAC Employees' Union has instructed the employees to be careful while handling beer bottles in TASMAC shops.


Coimbatore: TASMAC employees in Coimbatore have been instructed to handle beer bottles carefully.

Senthil Kumar, an employee of TASMAC shop no. 1806 at Karamadai in Coimbatore North district, works as a salesman. While on duty as usual yesterday, he had pasted a sticker on the beer bottle during the sale. While pasting, the pressured up beer bottle blew up in Senthil kumar's yes and his iris was damaged and broken glass hit his left eye, affecting his cornea and causing loss of vision.



SenthilKumar is currently undergoing treatment at R S Puram, Eye Foundation in Coimbatore. Coimbatore District Manager (North) visited Senthilkumar and enquired about his health and arranged for him to be treated at the hospital at the earliest.

At this juncture, we will pray for senthilkumar's complete recovery. The CITU TASMAC Employees' Union has urged the employees working in TASMAC to be very careful while handling the beer bottle during the sale.
