Rs 10,000 robbed from retired government official's house in Dharapuram

Natarajan (68), a retired government official from Kondarasampalayam near Dharapuram, broke open the back door of his house. Police have registered a case and are on the lookout for unidentified persons who stole Rs 10,000 cash from the cupboard.



Tirupur: In a shocking incident, miscreants broke open the back door of a retired government employee's house near Dharapuram and stole Rs 10,000 in cash.

Natarajan (68) hails from SN Nagar near Kondarasampalayam near Dharapuram. A retired government official, he had gone to a nearby temple the previous evening.

The miscreants broke open the lock of the door at the back of the house and stole Rs 10,000 from the cupboard.

Natarajan returned home and was shocked to find the back door of the house open. Later, when he went inside the house, he found the clothes and items in the cupboard scattered.

It was also found that Rs 10,000 was stolen from it. Natarajan lodged a complaint with the Dharapuram police station.

Based on the complaint, police inspector Manikandan registered a case and examined the CCTV cameras in the area and are on the lookout for the suspects.
