If Annamalai doesn’t submit proof for his allegations against DMK members within 15 days, we’ll take him to court: DMK’s RS Bharathi

DMK is an open book. Even during AIADMK period, MGR and Jayalalithaa had foisted cases against us but none stood in court. Annamalai is a nobody compared to MGR and Jayalalithaa - RS Bharathi

Chennai: The DMK has said that it will file a case if the BJP state president, who has released a list of assets of DMK members, does not show evidence.

Addressing a press conference at Kamalalayam in Chennai, Annamalai said “DMK MP Jagathrakshakan owns Rs 50,219 crore, Minister E V Velu owns Rs 5,442.39 crore, Minister Udhayanidhi Rs 2,039 crore, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi Rs 1,023.22 crore, Rs 2,495.14 crore for Minister K N Nehru, Rs 830.33 crore for MP Kanimozhi, Rs 12,450 crore for Kalanidhi Maran, Rs 10,841.10 crore for T R Baalu and Rs 579.58 crore for Minister DuraiMurugan's son Kathir Anand.”

He had released a video claiming that Kalanidhi Veerasamy has assets worth Rs 2,923.29 crore, while Minister Ponmudi and his Gowtham Sigamani have assets worth Rs 581.20 crore.

Following this, DMK organising secretary R S Bharathi held a press conference. He said “Annamalai should give proof for the DMK members list of assets. Otherwise action will be taken as per law.

The DMK will file a separate case against Annamalai. He will not go on a padayatra in June. He would go to court.”

Annamalai further said, that “the DMK has assets worth Rs 1,408.9 crore, other assets worth Rs 3,418 crore, while the DMK has colleges and universities worth Rs 34,184.71 crore.”

BJP state president Annamalai should come to Anna Arivalayam and hand over the property deeds and proofs to me, the organising secretary, within 15 days. If not, a case will be filed. “
